We are proud to announce that we have invested in a mini bus. This will enable fishing parties from Scotland and Ireland (or anywhere else in the world for that matter) to fly into Bristol Airport and be picked up and ferried back and forth to the lakes. Price is included in the B&B package.

This service is already proving popular and we have been busy shuttling Mickey Toal’s party from Ireland this week.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us for further details.

We were invaded by the Scots at the weekend, much to Jo and I’s delight. The fishing was as expected with all of the lads catching - some more than others. Buzzers and a secret pattern, that I’m still waiting for, seemed to do the trick. So the trout took a bit of a hammering, as did our Fosters, Carling and Kronenbourg. It was good that the fish were put back and thanks to Paul McNair and his party for a brilliant weekend from all our staff.

Blagdon lake was fishing well with them catching their limit on diawl bachs and black buzzers. Bank fishing was better than boat fishing with fish being in the shallows. North Shore, Pegs Point and Green Lawn proved most successful. A good time was had by all and we look forward to them staying with us again soon.

Hi Jo, Ain’t life fantastic ‘eh’? The fact of just Emailing you has put me in such a good mood after sharing a wonderful few days with you, Chris and your staff, who now feel like part of my family. Jenny’s dinners, Keith’s Breakfast, Elain’s smile and after spending half an hour with Tracy, I now know the history of all residents in Blagdon! (Some of this info I will be using for blackmail purposes to help fund my next visit with you.) Please convey Gunther and my thanks to all and I look forward with great anticipation to letting you all pamper and wait on me hand and foot again.

The attachment is a photo of myself as asked, and as most people tend to send flattering pictures, I hope this one of myself will not disappoint.

(others can be sent if required). Every time I drive up for the day to fish Blagdon or Chew I will definitely pop in, even if its just for a pint but my preference will be to stay. I will Email you on occasions with things I hope you will enjoy and please feel free to do the same.
